Wishful Wednesday: If I Had Two Million, I’d Buy This English Stone House Environment in Rockbrook Estates and Serve Clotted Cream

I’ve been watching this home now, and it is time to get serious. Because methinks the Sellers are getting serious. So serious, they are serving tea and crumpets.  4424 Glenleigh is one of the most beautiful streets in Dallas. You are south of Walnut Hill just a tad west of Rockbrook, near primo properties including the Frank Lloyd Wright house, among other mansions. Only six years old, which in house years equals about 2 — house years are like dog years.  Built in 2006 by McClure Builders of English country stone, this home packs everything — five bedrooms, five full and two half baths — into 6624 square feet.

And then, there are the outside rooms.

In fact, I am surprised by ALL this home gets in, very well-designed space planning: Master suite AND one bedroom on the first floor, plus library, that’s huge. Media room,  game room, exercise room and three bedrooms upstairs with en suite baths, of course. One bedroom is being used as an office. Storage out the wahzoo in every room, get sick of everybody, send them outside to LIVE: there are four — count them, FOUR — incredible outside living areas. Patio with outside kitchen with grill and fridge, and a luxurious fireside covered sitting area.

The back is huge, but you will love the large side yard dog run. Tons of  outside lighting, misting, security cameras, and a three car garage with storage. This elegant home is now reduced to below what the sound eye of appraiser Brad Edgar thinks it is worth, which is based on comps because after all, what really matters in real estate — location.  And when it comes to location, this home rules: now $2, 075,000.
