I love finding a great house in my neck of the woods. This Casa Linda Estates house just hit the market and it is perfect. I bet this three-bedroom, two-bath house at 9815 Redondo will go fast, too. It’s marketed at $349,900 by Ebby agent Brian Parker.
This house, built in 1945, is completely remodeled and feels very sleek and new on the inside and out. There are three living areas, and two of them have fireplaces that will keep this 2,000-square-foot one-story feeling cozy.
Everything inside this house has had a fresh coat of bright white paint, which will really set off a budding art collection or your family portraits. In fact, this is a great house for an active family considering that it’s less than a mile from White Rock Lake and super close to Casa Linda Shopping Center, which will soon have its very own Torchys Tacos.
The kitchen is so pretty, and I especially like the rectangular mosaic tile on the backsplash, which looks pretty keen with the dark cabinets and stainless appliances. The flooring, which appears to be a sand-colored Marmoleum, is very attractive.
The bedrooms and baths, well, they’re typical. I do love the gray paint in the master, but the master bath, with it’s white on white cabinets and counters and outdated faucets does nothing for me.
The den, though, that’s where I could see myself spending a lot of time. I love the mosaic hearth on the curved fireplace. It’s such a great detail. The bright white wood paneling is gorgeous, too, and looks really amazing with the painted white exposed beam ceiling.
Now, if you’ve been living in close quarters in Lakewood, the M Streets, Little Forest Hills, or pretty much anywhere in east dallas where the lots between privacy fences feel like the closing-in walls of the trash compactor in the Death Star’s detention block, then you’ll love this sprawling backyard. There is room to play catch, to play lawn darts, or whatever backyard activity you prefer. You can spread out on more than half an acre. And the decomposed granite patio area is perfect for entertaining. You’ll finally have room to breathe!
